'CRE de Laval' is glad to share that its project « Laval, île verte et bleue » ('Laval, green and blue island') will receive a financial assistance of $110 400 as part of Action-Climat Québec. Spread over 3 years, this project aims to promote sustainable stormwater management to enterprises and the general population of Laval.

The Ministry of Environment, Fight Against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks announced on June 17 the grant of subventions for a total of $12 387 394 to support the achievement of initiatives from 16 organizations of the civil society aiming to mobilize the population and organizations in the fight against climate change. These subventions are allocated through the Action-Climat Québec program, implemented by the Quebec Action Fund for Sustainable Development, as part of the 2030 Plan for a Green Economy.

On the long term, these actions will provide better insight into the issue of water management in Laval, while also multiplying the number of sustainable stormwater management facilities for individuals and corporations. In addition, these actions will ensure the addition of sustainable stormwater management to the regional services on offer by equipping adequately the community of practice in landscaping.
